We caught up the ”never sitting still” Margaux Barjou. When she is not hanging around at Solid she is either surfing the waves in Torå or tackling someone on the rugby field.
-So Margaux, for how long have you been doing this CrossFit stuff?
9 months!
-What initially drew you to CrossFit, and how has it changed your overall fitness journey?
The will to challenge myself and to be a part of a new fitness community! I believe it has made me a stronger and more confident person
–What’s your favorite type of WOD (Workout of the Day) and why?
I like the high intensity WOD with a lot of different exercises, cause it makes it more fun and sweaty. 20 min WODs and over are the most fun I believe 🙂
–Are there any specific CrossFit movements or skills you’re currently working on mastering?
Plenty, but I’m working at getting better with overhead moves and and skill wise currently working on toes to bar.
-What’s been the most rewarding achievement for you in CrossFit so far?
Improving on hand stand pushing up and lifting heavier and heavier.
-How has the CrossFit community and environment impacted your motivation and consistency in training?
It’s an extra motivation to train to meet the community at the box. It has been extra welcoming and encouraging from day 1!
And now. The important questions:
What makes you cry? (except Jani´s playlist)
Getting the barbell on my nose while attempting numerous push presses
Ok, be honest. You want to scream at people when misspronouncing ”croissant”?
It’s one of my daily life struggles!
What’s more confusing to you: Swedish weather or the Swedish love for queuing?
After seeing snow in May a couple of times I would definitely say the weather!
-Tell us something about you nobody knows (a special talent)?
I can do amazing trumpet sounds with my mouth )
Thank you Margaux for taking the time and for not tackling me when i no-rep you!
What! No-rep? which one?
